| I grew up in Wilmette, IL, went to New Trier East High School, Class of 77. I got involved with cars working at my Dad's Standard Station in Deerfield and worked there though high school. My Father bought my first car at age 16. It was a 1964 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 with a 455 cubic inch motor. The car only lasted a year cause I beat the hell out of it! My next car was a 1969 Camaro, which I bought myself and that's where my love for Chevy began. The color, huger orange, it was a bad ass ride!! In 1982 I attended Denver Automotive and Diesel college. Where I got a degree in automotive repair. Yes, I am educated! That is where I found my first wife! After I got married, I moved back to Chicago and started to work for my Dad at Joe's Standard. 1 year later, at the age of 25, I went into business for myself with a 3 bay shop and 2 gasoline pumps! I have owned 5 automotive businesses the last being Jerry's AAA Auto Center in Waukegan! I have 5 wonderful kids, 2 Grand kids and a hot wife with a smoking bod! I have currently been doing Jerry's Garage Talk for over 6 years now and love it! My hobbies include hunting, NASCAR, NHRA, and camping with my entire family. People say I look like Chuck Norris. I think I am much better looking.. Sorry Chuck! |
